Almost any Windows version, including XP and Windows 7, includes a feature for grouping multiple opened windows together in the taskbar. Using this feature, the user can easily manage all his running programs and tasks. The problem is that in today's modern world, this feature doesn't seem enough anymore, because it only allows you to manage an unlimited number of windows. This is why it's a good idea to install a specialized application for grouping all your opened windows together.

One of them is WindowBox. This intuitively named Windows program is practically a replacement for the taskbar grouping option, offering a much richer and better functionality than this one. Installing this program is one simple task. Still, NET Framework 4 should be installed prior to installing WindowBox, otherwise the program will not work.

After installing and running the application, the user will be presented with a small and simple interface, which allows adding any running program and task into a separate taskbar. When being included into the program's taskbar, the user will be able to see a small preview of his application. In this way, the user will be able to see what the program window is about without actually opening it.

By accessing the options section of WindowBox, the user can configure it to run together with Windows and also to remember the loaded programs and tasks. What's more, the size of the icons can be chosen.

Pros

It allows you to group all your program windows in a much better and more efficient way than using the standard window grouping feature. Besides that, the user can configure the program to remember added windows and can also set it to run together with Windows.

Cons

The application seems a bit too simple and limited in features. WindowBox allows you to group all your running programs together, so you will be able to work faster and more efficiently.
